Tax season 2013 wrapped up April 15 – and what a busy one it was this year! Many thanks to our volunteers who donated over 4,300 hours to make this year such a success!

As a lead organization in the United Way of Allegheny County’s Money in Your Pocket Coalition, Just Harvest operated four volunteer income tax preparation sites: at our South side office, the Community College of Allegheny County Boyce Campus, Bedford Hope Center, and at the Prospect Park housing community in Baldwin.
Among those sites, we prepared more than 2,800 returns, which yielded $4.9 million in refunds! Earned Income Tax Credit payments accounted for $2.4 million of that total.
