Community Outreach Internship
We’re looking for an intern to help us coordinate events at markets, implement our community-based marketing strategy, and connect with organizations, schools, and places of worship about distributing materials, hosting a speaker, and/or coordinating services.

Community Organizing Internship
Client perspectives and participation are a key component to the effectiveness of our advocacy efforts. The Organizing and Engagement Intern will create opportunities for food stamp and tax clients to share their experiences and voice their concerns about public safety-net programs, encourage clients and other community members to participate in current advocacy campaigns and community meetings, work on voter registration and pledge-to-vote drives and help with research and writing.

Tax Preparation Internship (January-April)
The Earned Income Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit lift more working families out of poverty than any other program. However, to access the credit, many low-income families pay hundreds of dollars in tax prep fees. As an intern at one of our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) sites, you will prepare accurate tax returns for low-income families and individuals, ensuring that they receive all credits that they are eligible for without paying any preparation fees.
