Recent Update:
Last week, hundreds of organizations urged Senate Democrats to stand against the passage of a Continuing Resolution with major cuts to spending – posing a severe threat to the funding of federal agencies. Senate Democrats voted alongside Senate Republicans to pass a funding bill in order to avoid a government shutdown. However, this CR provides the Trump administration with more power to continue their extreme measures in slashing funding and firing federal employees.
We must continue to work in coalitions to oppose damaging cuts, and fight against unconstitutional actions. Earlier this month, Just Harvest and more than 1,800 other organizations signed on to a letter urging Congress to protect and strengthen the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Make your voice heard today and take a stand for the millions of people and children across the U.S. that rely on essential safety net programs to keep food on the table.
