The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is currently under attack. Republicans in Congress are actively forming a list of potential cuts to SNAP and other crucial programs in a Budget Reconciliation Bill.
These cuts would slash funding for SNAP by billions of dollars, with reported potential cuts for the Senate Agriculture committee from $50 to $150 billion. Additionally, House Budget Committee Chair Jodey Arrington (R-TX) offered a list of proposed cuts to safety net and nutrition programs including $12 billion in cuts to school breakfast and lunch programs (FRAC).
Speak up and take action to protect your neighbors and families throughout America from hunger.
