Join Just Harvest and the Pittsburgh Food Policy Council for a special three-part event at the Brookline Teen Outreach Center on May 2.
6pm-7pm: Just Harvest’s Annual Member Meeting. You’ll hear about our recent progress on reducing hunger in Allegheny County. Current members will be eligible vote in our Board election.
7pm-8pm: A debate between May 16 Primary Election candidates for Pittsburgh Mayor. Incumbent mayor, Bill Peduto will face challenger Rev. John Welch. (A third candidate, Pittsburgh City Councilwoman Darlene Harris, has not yet responded to our invitation to this event.)
The debate will be moderated by Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reporter Chris Potter, who will pose questions to the two candidates regarding community food access and economic justice in Pittsburgh.
8pm-9pm: Candidates in contested races for Allegheny County Council, Pittsburgh City Council, and Pittsburgh School Board will address the following policy questions in a non-partisan candidates forum.
Everyone is welcome at any or all of these events!
