God knows it’s good to give to those in need in this season of love and good will. It can justly be applauded. But why do we hone in on painfully one-time feel-good solutions such as providing a turkey for Thanksgiving to one family? Do we suppose that same family is no longer hungry and in need on Jan. 1 or Sept. 15?…
