School Food Report Kick-Off

Are you a school administrator looking for new opportunities?

The Pittsburgh Food Policy Council (PFPC)’s Food and Health Equity Working Group (co-chaired by staff from Just Harvest and the Southwest PA Food Security Partnership) in partnership with Pittsburgh Public Schools (PPS) and the Harvard Food Law & Policy Clinic are excited to announce the launch of “Celebrating Success & Advancing the Future of School Food”. This report details the successes PPS has had in implementing change in their school food system and the opportunities to continue this great work.

Report Presentation and Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank Crystal Apple Award Presentation: Hear from Harvard Food Law and Policy Clinic and PFPC Food & Health Equity Working Group members as they share the report process, research findings and 2017 priorities for advancing this work. The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank will also be awarding the Crystal Apple Award in recognition of innovative approaches to decreasing food insecurity among school age students. More PFPC partners will also be present so stay tuned for more details as they emerge!
