January is Poverty Awareness Month so we have put together a number of easy ways for you to take action this month to help fight poverty. They’ll include opportunities to learn more about poverty and hunger in our region and the U.S., and to spread the word.

50 years ago this month President Johnson declared war on poverty. Yet today, 1 in 5 U.S. children live in poverty and 1 in 3 American adults will spend at least one year of their lives in poverty.
