Right now, Pennsylvania is facing a $1.3 billion budget shortfall — a huge gap lawmakers will have to close before June 30th. Gov. Corbett is seriously considering a cuts-only budget that would lock in recent cuts to education, make more cuts to all other state programs, and use a host of one-time gimmicks to balance it. But we know that a large portion of these budget problems can be solved by accepting Medicaid Expansion and rejecting Corbett’s Healthy PA plan.
So spend some time talking to fellow Pennsylvanians and encouraging them to tell their legislator: NO CUTS and EXPAND MEDICAID.
We will start with food & training at 5:30pm and start making calls around 6pm.
