Riders and communities in the Mon Valley would be hardest hit by the proposed changes, especially commuters, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. Many current Mon Valley riders don’t own cars and the changes would make it harder to get to work and to access food, health care, and all other basic needs.
Join riders, bus drivers, CDCs, social service providers, business owners, food justice advocates, disability rights advocates, faith leaders, and many other concerned Allegheny County organizations and residents to speak out against cutting critical public transit service for their communities.
Following an 8:45am rally and press conference at the corner of Wood St. and Sixth Ave. in downtown Pittsburgh we’ll be going to the 9:30am public Port Authority Board Meeting in the Neal H. Holmes Board Room, 345 Sixth Ave., Fifth Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15222-2527. If you would like to share how you will be affected by these cuts and increased fares, you must register to speak by Friday, Jan. 19.
