The annual Empty Bowls is a simple community meal of soup and bread to help remind people of the one in eight residents in our area who are facing hunger. Pittsburgh’s Empty Bowls typically draws more than 1,500 people and has raised more than $500,000 to fight hunger in our region.
This marks the 26th year that Just Harvest and Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank will co-host the event. Funds raised will benefit both organizations equally.
The dinner features soup cooked by some of Pittsburgh’s top chefs and an auction of ceramic art.
There are three seating times available, each with the option of dine-in or to-go:
Seating 1: 1:00 – 3:00 PM
Seating 2: 3:30 – 5:30 PM
Seating 3: 6:00 – 7:30 PM
Tickets cost $20 for either dine-in or to-go, and are required for attendees ages 3 and up. Each to-go ticket holder can select one 16 oz. soup. All attendees get to choose a beautiful handmade bowl to take home.
