The annual Empty Bowls is a meager meal of soup and bread, reminding us that too many people in our region still have empty bowls and face hunger.
This marks the 19th year that the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and Just Harvest will co-host the event. Funds raised will benefit both organizations equally.
Tickets are $20 each and include soup cooked by some of Pittsburgh’s best restaurants and a beautiful handmade bowl to take home. Celebrity soup severs, a silent auction of ceramic art and celebrity-autographed bowls, live music, children’s activities, and soup-to-go are part of the festivities.
This year’s event will also include a bowl-making demonstration, a coffee and espresso bar, and other new additions.
