State human services department touts better customer service

Advocacy groups and the clients they serve have long complained about poor customer service from the state Department of Human Services. It seems their voices have been heard.

DHS is touting improvements in customer service — more calls getting answered more quickly and other new initiatives in the works like streamlined paperwork and a mobile app to serve people more quickly. Advocates have complained for years about problems as basic as getting their phone calls answered….

    The improvement thing is overstated ihad my benefits closed out due to no fault of my own. A new caseworker three months in a row its a joke try being a single black father with a lower wage job.the program discrminates all the.time.i was laid off last december.and applied. For food stamps it took almost two monthsto recive them better be white and disabled. And all these programs ssi unemployment welfare. All discridiscriminate on racial gender they just mask.it as. Another program reqiurment or some new enforced rule of some sort is always popping up the. If ur aminority u have betterluck recieving help from the urban leage or naacp the comonwealth programs are a joke
