The two Democratic candidates for Allegheny County Council District 12 — incumbent James Ellenbogen and challenger Bob Palmosina — answered the following question as part of a voter education event for the May 16, 2017 Primary Election:
As an Allegheny County Council member, what will you do to prevent and fight food insecurity and hunger in your district? In your answer, please address: government accountability, basic human needs, racial equity, and healthy food access, including barriers which create food deserts.
