
Arlene Holt Baker, Executive Vice President of the AFL-CIO, will be our guest speaker at the 22nd Annual Harvest Celebration Dinner at the Omni William Penn Hotel on Tuesday, October 12th. Arlene Holt Baker’s experience as a union and grassroots organizer spans more than 30 years.
She is the first African American to be elected to one of the federation’s three highest offices and the highest ranking African-American woman in the union movement. In her position, Holt Baker builds on her legacy of inspiring activism and reaching out to diverse communities to support the needs and aspirations of working people. Holt Baker will receive the 2010 George Becker Memorial Award.
